Tech Specs
The PROTOTYPE rides on SIMS MOD 3 construction—a combination of poplar wood with thin bands of bamboo running along the edges for increased edge hold and stability at speed. SIMS Twin Wave Form technology advances core construction further by thickening the core under the binding hole patterns, resulting in greater shock absorption and quicker edge-to-edge response from the slight increase in leverage.
We run a 50mm strip of I Carbon through the PROTOTYPE to increase power and pop while delivering smooth rebound out of the turn. Tri-Tex fiberglass, SIMS’s most advanced high-end matrix, adds responsive strength and long-lasting durability. The PROTOTYPE finishes it off with our high-density, high-speed Premium Racing Base.
